It all began in the fall of 2005. We bought a nice IKEA sofa without slipcover because we did not find any cover that suited us. We were going to make our own! In the car on the way home, the idea behind savemysofa was born. We just could not be the only ones who liked IKEA's design, quality and price, but could not find a slipcover that suited our taste and style. In addition, one could enjoy her old IKEA sofa longer by only changing the cover and that is good for the environment! We were brooding on the idea for a while but in the spring of 2008 we finally launched the web shop savemysofa.com. Our headquarters is located in south of Sweden, in the picturesque medieval town of Ystad by the sea, but we deliver our products to customers throughout Europe. What would we do without internet!

The all-female graphic design consultancy All the way to Paris (ATWT Paris) understood perfectly what we had in mind for our visual identity. Simplicity, value for money, environmental awareness and a dash of humour – these are just a few of the key words we gave them. ATWT Paris:

It’s always a great thrill to take on a visual identity from scratch. As "savemysofa" says it all in the name, we worked with a typographic logo complemented by the silhouette of a sofa. Making the silhouette understated yet distinct, we hope for a flexible use while retaining a highly recognisable shape. Savemysofa has all along had a strong belief in what they want to create, which has made the process open yet firm, fun and straightforward. And now finally! The pleasure of watching it all come together. We think that it has turned out beautifully!
